Lead can have a variety of negative impacts on the body, and is particularly harmful to children with developing brains and nervous systems (it has been linked to lower IQ’s and other development issues).

Inspections / Testing / Surveys

NED maintains Illinois Department of Public Health licensed Lead Inspectors and Lead Risk Assessors for your residential, commercial, institutional, or industrial facility.  NED samples and analyzes paint, dust, air, water, and soil.  NED conducts CHAC lead inspections and Elevated Blood Lead Level Investigations. 

Sample Analysis

NED analyzes paint chips, dust, air, water, and soil for lead based paint content.  Samples are analyzed by Flame Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy.  Lead inspection clients are furnished with a comprehensive report including analytical data.
